Damavand Base Camp
The Damavand Goosfand Sara Campsite also known as the Damavand Base Camp, is the most accessible and well-known starting point for treks up Mount Damavand in Iran. This base camp, located at 3,040 meters, features a small mountain refuge, a mosque named Saheb al-Zaman, and a sheepfold. It serves as the main launching pad for treks on the south route during summer. Positioned at coordinates 35.9020° N latitude and 52.1094° E longitude, it is the primary base camp for climbers aiming to ascend Damavand.
