On the first day of your tour in Iran you may travl by a taxi directly from IKA Int Airport or your Hotel in Tehran to first campsite, Camp1 Polour in Polour Village, its altitude is 2270 m - 7447 ft., which is quite a suitable place for Acclimatization and a good idea to be away from pollution of Tehran, during the day just rest there, no climbing or hard exercisen, stay over night at Polour Hut.

How to go to the Polour Hut
Tehran > Haraz Road >Polor Village > Camp1 (about 1.5 Hours)

Day2 - Transfer + Trekking To Camp3
It is recommended to book a car in advance to take you to the Base Camp, 4WD cars like Jeeps, land rovers and small trucks take you to the 2nd campsite, as far as car can go, it takes about one hour to reach Camp2 Base 3050m, remember due to summer Crowd this place is not a suitable area for any acclimatization or Accommodation , further more a sheepfold is located in the area making it too dirty, so it is better to leave the area asap. The base camp, also called Goosfand Sara or Saheb Zaman Mosque, is the south route starting point in summer.
Start you trek and by 4 to 6 hours slow and steady walk go to third campsite, Camp3 Bargah Sevom 4220m and stay over night at Camp3 New Hut 4250m. Do not carry heavy stuff yourself, use porter and mule, follow the footprints, it is easy to find them in a good weather condition. If you start your trek early morning you have enough time to go to third campsite and use the rest of the day for acclimatization. Double check up all your necessary Equipment for tomorrow before you go to sleep.

Day3 - Climbing to the Mt Damavand Summit + Return
South route is not technically difficult, see Difficulty, it has a mild climbing slop, but you must be physically fit enough to try it. Wake up at about 4 am and have a good breakfast, drink tow or three cups of tea or coffee, check the weather forecast if possible, start your climb towards the peak at about 5 am, during the climb take short breaks each hour, do not rest more than 5 minutes per rest, use the proper foot tracks, if you are not sure use a Guide .
During the way or at breaks, eat some sweet or chocolate and biscuit, you need at least 1.5 letters of water for the day.

Depending to your physical fitness it takes 5 to 7 hours to reach the top, after reaching the Summit do not stay too long there, take few Photo and return back the same way to camp3, it takes about 3 hours to descend down from summit to the camp3, stay overnight at New Hut.

Notes
- From camp3 upwards, there is no any shelter/refuge, water or food.
- Do not carry heavy stuff with yourself to the top, only take necessary ones, it is quite safe to leave your heavy gears at New Hut or your tent.
- Do not ascend at night, see the important note in Common Mistakes.
- In a good weather, starting at about 5 am is quite good.
